Did no one else notice this about The Dark Knight?

Batman has grown from being a cartoon character with fictitious problems like a malicious clown to real life situations where as he would say in the comics, im the god damn batman and it would be fixed, he cant now. the lack of use of the batarang was a metaphor to imply the batman as we knew him had disappeared and this dark torn vigilante took his place, where the clown is a disguised terrorist and he has to do whatever he has to in order to keep Gotham safe. maybe we'll see the batarang used if he has to pop the fingernails off of an informer. Hes the god damn batman.
