Most World armies are broken down into individual regiments is this the same with US forces?

For instance I was briefly in the British Royal Artillery. In the US you have air sea and land forces, but do you have say a Georgia regiment, or New York regiment? Or are you either Army or Navy etc? I respect your army though and this is a legitimite question.
