Religiously conflicted... Atheism or Christianity?

I've been conflicted as of last night deciding if I should be an Atheist or Christan. Knowing that true atheists KNOW the is no god because it is simply not possible and that Christians have been believing in god for thousands of years make it a difficult choice. But so far Christianity has the up side, due to not believing in god equals you go to hell. But I need help with some decent backup reasons.
