What is the name of the haircut?

what haircut is this (1st pic) http://www.google.co.in/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=avril+lavigne+pictures&meta=&aq=1&oq=avril+lavigne+pic there is another pic of her sitting on the stairs wearing black but i can't seem to find it on the net.she had this haircut in which the outer layer was short and the inner layers were long...quite similar to the above pic.btw i have dry and thin hair.can anyone please suggest what i should do to get good hair.i have heard about using eggs on hair.should i use the white or the yellow part? thanks a ton!
