weathering and erosion will knock a lot of soil into rivers and oceans. If this soil is agricultural soil, it may have a lot of fertilizers in it and will increase the nutrient content in the rivers. This increase will produce more algae, which use more oxygen. If there becomes too much algae it will use enough oxygen to kill the fish. Although this probably won't occur in large rivers and oceans, it will still effect smaller streams. Also, weathering and erosion will make soil less structurally safe.
