Why do many nurses tend to be extremely rude to other hospital workers?

the fact of the matter is they do get paid better than most other hospital employees that are not doctors, managers, presidents and that sort. i too have noticed how rude and inconsiderate most but not all nurses can be. i have worked in a hospital too and was treated badly, as most others are. most of the time i found that they also like to talk about their patients in cruel ways to their fellow nurses. i honestly feel that they act this way because of the stress of the job and also because they know that they can. nurses are in shortage now, and hospitals can't afford to lose them.

Okay. So I met this guy in February, and we hung out a LOT until abouttt... June. I mean, basically every weekend. When asked why it never worked out between us(I asked him in August), he said that he "didn't have enough time to commit to a serious relationship", but now, he seems damned well eager to try. Does he like me? Or am I fooling myself?

Vintage bike frame decals help!!?

hi im trying to place new decals on a recently painted bike frame. The problem is the decals are from the 60's and im having trouble with them. i soaked them and removed the paper backing, however when i place the decal on the bike, the paint will not transfer from the laminent to the bike frame.... it just pulls back off with the transparent piece.... any ideas on how to apply this??

Jet grabs the book before it is sucked in and tries to escape but the force of the pull is too strong and sucks him in along with his book. Why is the school system failing our at risk students?

I have four children and three out of four are special ed. and I am seeing that they are not following the I.E.P. and it seems we have the meetings and they make me feel like my opinion doesn't matter nor what i think my child needs. my other child have been having difficulties in school and anger issues. last year he wouldn't go to school and was trauncy a lot so he went to an informal probation for it. then he fought in school in self defense and was charged for fighting in school. now he got expelled from the school because he was trying to go home and a teacher stopped him and asked for his cell phone and he wouldn't give it. he explained that he was going home already and that he had the dean's consent that he could consider after 6th period time to go home. so this teacher put his hands on my son's shoulder and my son got this teacher's hand off of him so because of this he got expelled. I don't understand that my son was trying this semester to do his best and do all his ignments and the administrators instead of helping my son they just seem that can not face a challenge and help troubled/problematic teens. why is the school failing our kids. I know it goes both ways but he was trying and look what happened

Foul smelling cat poo...?

The food is certainly the problem. She may be too young to digest certain ingredients in it or has an allergy to a certain ingredient that is making the foul smelling poo. I would switch her back to the wet . We had a cat on the RX intestinal formula it was easy to digest for him and mixed that in gradually with a commercial wet food and no problems. On rare occasions he would have a flare up of tummy/poo problems and we would give him the RX diet again for a short while.

I just got done playing it and I glitched through walls and fell into oblivion three times in one sitting, got stuck in the air twice and had to restart, bounced off countless walls instead of climbing them, and jumped into open air despite very obviously aiming for climbing to the next ledge at least a dozen times causing two more deaths from falls. Is it just me or do the controls suck for this game? Oh and is anybody else able to use dodges? 99% of the time they don't do anything and I've checked a dozen times to see if I'm doing it right, my counter attacks are always fine, the dodge system is just designed by an idiot. You can really use much, since almost everything has some sort of poisonous chemicals in it. I would still suggest a scrubbing pad ( sponge on one side, rough slab on opposite), scrub them while running under hot water. You can also soak them in hot water, to losen the crap up on them, then scrub.

Is it a good idea for 14 y/o Male to snowboard after serious concussion?

Hello, I am a 14 y/o male in GA. Two weeks ago I had a concussion cause by a 8 foot fall to the back right side of my head. After the fall I had reported seizure for about 10 seconds. Then walked and sat down. I have amnesia to the event and to about 4 hours afterwards. At the E.R. the doctors had a CT taken and it was clean, did a neurological test and then let me go. They did not state any restrictions at the time. Later my dad, who is a Chief of Internal Medicine at the V.A. Hospital called up the Co-Director of pediatric neurology at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. He advised me to to take part in any physical activity for 4 weeks. Then finding out 2 weeks later I was planning on going on a 2 day snowboarding trip with my youth group told my parents I should not go. I have not had any symptoms after the accident and I feel that I am fine to go boarding (obviously I would wear a protective helmet, and would not take part in any risky activity). I was wondering if there was anyone who has knowledge and would have any idea if snowboarding about 5 weeks after the event would be a good idea

My 3 year old abbysinnian got thin and weak, then I noticed blood coming from his mouth. None of our vets had ever had a cat with this rare problem. It's like an auto-immune disease, my cat had been bleeding for weeks, before I even noticed. Unfortunetly there is no cure, except for constant transfusions. I guess I must be very unlucky. After 6 months of treatments of cortisone, special diets, and being shut inside 24/7 he was still bleeding so I sent him to God.

Ah finals week, one where you study for the biggest test of the semester until, oh i don't know, 3 in the morning (<--hint i did this). So, i'm a straight A student, this whole semester I have been teetering from B+ to A- in science cl, well guess what now I'm getting something around a C or maybe even lower. Here's the deal I was studying in the library (during free break) and i was really nervous, without thinking, i started writing answers on my hand, noticing this I said NO i'm not going to cheat. Then, the bell ring and i had to get to cl, no time to wash it off. I had forgotten i had these answers on my hand (my memory is quite terrible right now, don't know why) and the teacher tells me to switch seats with this boy so that i would be in front of her (it's a lab table and you can see under it). So i'm doing the test, doing really well, I get to about 3/4's done and she says come here, says what is this, and i freak and lie (/slaphead, i'm such an idiot) and says I was looking at my hand! (I hadn't at all, this is NOT a lie.) (Also, she already knew and didn't tell me, the librarian saw me and called the teacher, neither she nor my teacher said anything) then immediately goes you have a 0 (out of 300 points) so I tell my mom, we go to the counselor (what a waste of time) he was an a**. The counselor agrees with her when the only proof she has is her umption that i looked at my hand, she said I put my hand under the table (which i never did, the whole time my flipping hand was basically on my head, therefore i can't look t it at all) and looked, this was such a lie. So were still trying to find out what to do but I'm EXTREMELY upset and i don't know what to do. I called her and the teacher still won't change her mind and basically calls me a liar when I tell her i didn't look at my hand once. My parents arn't agreeing with me too much either because i had the words on my hand (this i know already was stupid), but i swear i didn't look (i couldn't anyways, my shirt had one of those thumbholes and the sleeve goes to about half-way up your palm) and the questions i was doing didn't even match with the question i was working on. First of all, people could honestly believe death would be the best option for them at the time because of the bad luck they have had with life, yet they are basing their decision on right now. Not sure what to do, I have injuried my knee last year and track, and I had a MLI strain. I now play volleyball(4th year playing) and I dive alot and this season my knee has formed a bump, on the side up to the right of my knee cap, now it has gone down because I haven't been playing for a month, but I have now noticed a slight popping when I move my knee and I every once in awhile get sharp pains in it. I have talked to a coach at school who is also a EMT and he didn't really say much about it, he said i probably just bruised the bone and I'm not going to go to the doctor if it's nothing. But I wonder if it may be something? My mom says to wear my brace that I got for my knee when I Hurt it in track 2 years ago, but I am afraid I could injure it more. it sounds like an addiction. the only way to fix it is to replace it. When you eat do a few sit ups or something every time you indulge. What the goal is here is that you change the pattern of eating to not just foods gratification but to some other things less desirable that you ociate that type with eating so that the desire is split between eating and the action habit you do behind it. your brain will balance out your diet for you. You eat normal small meals do nothing. the school I train at is run by a guy who puts us through a very strenuous hour. we train in a hybrid of Muay Thai, ground fighting, tkd/hapkido (korean arts program) Kali, Jeet Kune do, and we exercise alot. basically the MMA program involve the best of each art the school has to teach. I've been outta the program due to a financial rutt but soon Ima get back in the program, and I'm wondering if MMA cles @ least 3 cles (minimum) per week, will help me lose 40 lbs in a desirable amount of time, like a month or 2.

Please help - neighbour dispute!?

I live in a 4-plex and unfortunately had a falling out with the owners of the basement. She is now claiming that the outflow pipe from my boiler is dripping onto her outside space. The pipe in question comes from a condensing boiler which the freeholders installed (we are all leaseholders of the flats). I have not seen the pipe dripping ever - she is claiming that it drips intermittantly for half an hour every morning but I have no evidence of this. I have called 2 plumbers around but theycan not find anything wrong and have written a report to that effect. I have suggested getting a builder to install a drainage pipi from the outlet to the outside drain. The managing agent was initially in agreement with the plan but has recently emailed me to say that that solution is no longer acceptable - without giving me a reason as to why - and unless I replace the pipe/ boiler/ get the pipe re drilled through the wall at a different inclination he will start legal proceedings. I do not know what to do as I thought we had a soultion, plumbers can't find anything wrong, and it would be a huge expense to comply with his solutions. Why is my friend having terrible leg cramps?

My friend is having a serious problem with leg cramps. She will get one in her calve and the as she is trying to stretch it out she gets one right at the front along her shin. The pain is awful because when both cramps hit (always the same leg) she can not stretch it in eather direction to quicken the relief. I told her to start a multivitamin and magnesium, as she may be depleted of nutrients, but after two weeks she is still getting them and not just at night. We horse back ride together and it is just awefull when she gets one in the saddle. Any ideas on how to help her? which vitamines/minerals besides magnesium help subdue the cramps?

Red Dots All Over My Legs?

So I have extremely fair skin, and I have these perpetual red dots ALL over my legs; most evident on my lower leg, but also somewhat evident on my upper leg as well. I will start by saying that I know they are not irritation bumps, nor ingrown hairs, nor petechiae. I've had all three, and these are something totally different. I have a few hundred of them on each leg probably, and they only occur at the area of the skin where hair grows out of the follicle. They do not itch, they do not rise out of the skin... They are just tiny pinpoint spots all over my legs. They seem to be most prevalent when the hair of my leg is growing back after shaving, and especially so when the hair is thicker, such as on my lower legs. What's wrong with my tarantula! :(?

I have a chilean rosehair tarantula. I'm unsure of the and have no idea how old it is. the petstore had no clue. I named it rajah and have been referring to it as a he. Ive had rajah for a little over 2 months. I rarley hold him because I dont want to stress him out, but i feel ive been taking really good care of him, ive gotten extremely close to him. About 3 weeks ago i purchased a batch of crickets from a different petstore than i usually get his crickets from (the same place i got rajah is where i usually would get the crickets) i noticed that even though these crickets look the same they were a lot more energetic and they were also smart, everytime i would put one in rajahs tank it would do everything in its power to avoid rajah whether it would hide or hop around like crazy, or even escape out the tank! half of them ended up outside because they kept getting out and i didnt want to feed rajah a cricket thats been contamidated by germs and what not. anyway, rajah only ate 2 out of the 12 i purchased, and when i brought them home, he was due for a feeding. its been 3 weeks, and theres still 2 crickets left, and he will not eat them. i havent noticed any changes in his behavior, nor have i noticed any wounds. theres no dark spots on his abdomen, which i was told that would be a sign of a molt. other then him not eating he seems o.k but he ate really good every week when i first got him, actually he was a little pig, but now 3 weeks? im really worried, and the people at the petstores dont know squat. any ideas?

Major lack of concerts and events in Northern Ireland..?

I'm 16 and it's a real pain that, to me, when it comes to concerts and events that Belfast and other places in Northern Ireland are usually left out. But with nursing you also have more choices, you can get an ociates degree, bachelors or masters degree. There are so many different areas you can work in and with experience you can change very easily. I have talked with some nurses who tell me nursing school is hard but after it is all worth it. With occupational therapy, you can work in different settings, but when I ask occupational therapist about there job I get a mixed bag of signals. This is because they work with the elderly and don't seem to enjoy it. Occupational therapy is more 9 to 5 but if you work for an agency then you'll have more flexibility in your schedule. The only thing is you have to get a masters degree before you can practice as a occupational therapist. Occupational therapist make good money and are in high demand just about everywhere you go. So this choice really is up to you. Nursing is good but are you willing to be on waitlists til god knows when and compete to get into your cles. Occupational therapy is good but are you willing to wait til you get a masters before you start making good money. How do I convince my dad to let me get a rabbit?

I want a pair of 4 year old mini rex rabbits from a local animal rescue league more then anything. I've been doing research on rabbits and begging for one for 3 years, and I know a lot about them. I've written up lists of everything I need, prices, and where I can find them. I've read about house rabbits, and decided my rabbits will live indoors, they will have a large NIC cage for when I'm not home, and will be allowed in my bunny proofed bedroom, and given more room once they are in control of their accidents and chewing. I am not some spoiled brat begging for this and that every other week. I can pay for everything, and have even found a vet in the area that cares for rabbits. My father thinks that the rabbit will a.) stink up the whole house b.) sit around and do nothing, and c.) that I will get bored of it once I realize it's not a dog ( I used to want a dog when I was like 7-11, but my sister is allergic and my parents don't want pets). You will find people who will help you along and if you can't keep the baby, give it up for adoption. There are many parents out there how would love a child! Banks and other lenders took advantage of deregulation to invent what was essentially a real estate casino. Many people were sold ARMS, or adjustable loans so they could buy a house. The early payments were more than affordable and the pitch was that the value of the home would increase long before the payments would 'adjust' upward. These loans were then sold as a package to other investors as 'loans secured by ever more valuable real estate'. These investors in turn often sold pieces of these loan packages to other investors. Suddenly, the value of real estate stagnated due to over building. The housing industry couldn't build fast enough to accommodate all of these new sub-prime home owners. Oops, too many houses. Then, the loans 'adjusted'. Now these thousands of sub-prime mortgagee couldn't make the higher payment and the house was worth less than when originally purchased. People defaulted. The banks couldn't get their money back. Bummer! Fannie and Freddie had guaranteed these loans, but surprise, surprise, they couldn't cover all the bets. Mo couldn't pay Curly and Curly couldn't pay Larry. So Uncle Sucker now has to bail everyone out with borrowed or printed money. That should be a picnic down the road for sure. This is the reason why we need a lot of regulation....someone has to watch the hen house...someone beside the fox! That's why i'm voting for Sen. Obama and the democrats...they get it....the GOP hasn't a clue!

My 13 month old has suddenly started having sinus problems, what is causing this?

Keep in mind, 13 month olds have not developed sinuses yet (except for very, very tiny ethmoid sinuses by their eyes). So this is likely not a "sinus" issue. However, because of lack of sinuses, there is little area for mucous to go, so it congests the nose, the ears (causing ear infections) and down the throat, causing a cough. I think it sounds like allergies or irritants are really reaking havoc with your baby's nose. A 3 day reprieve from this is not long enough to help cure the symptoms at this point. You either have to permanently leave, or consider other medications. You're doing everything right. However, you may have to add prescription antihistamines or nasal steroid sprays, both of which are indicated down to 6 months of age, by seeing your pediatrician.

Potty training regression?

Accidents happen. It takes a bit for a child to fully understand potty training. We did the three day method with our son. And, it worked wonders - but we still had accidents for about 2 months after that. Each kid is different and will learn at their own pace. Just keep rewarding him for the good.

Ok, so my last period I had was October 7th. I had the night before so it might have been possible to have conceived then but I had on October 18th, 20th, 21st, and 23rd. I tested negative on OPK's all month until today when it was positive, it had both lines, which was weird because I didn't think my ovulation could be this late. I didn't test for the last two days. I tested for pregnancy yesterday but it was negative. But I have been feeling queasy for the past week and back aches. I heard that OPK's can test for pregnancy as well. Is there a chance I am pregnant? I do want another baby, I just don't know if I am ready this soon. Either way this baby will be loved if I am. Please tell me my chances? No negativeness here please, I don't like rudeness. Also, has anyone used the OPKs and had pregnancy follow?
